About Katie
I’m a connective tissue therapist, movement coach, and lifelong mover with a background that spans professional athletics, performance, production, and design.
For over a decade, I’ve worked as a professional athlete and performer in acrobatics and aerial arts, alongside coaching advanced movers and artists. That work gave me an intimate, lived understanding of how bodies adapt, compensate, and perform under repeated physical demand — and how those patterns show up over time.
Beyond movement and performance, I run my own production company and work as a Senior UX Designer, where my focus is on human behavior, systems thinking, and designing experiences that support real people in complex environments. These seemingly different careers are deeply connected: all of them require listening closely, recognizing patterns, and understanding how humans respond — physically, emotionally, and cognitively.
My approach to bodywork is shaped by this cross-disciplinary perspective. I draw from anatomy and biomechanics, years of coaching and hands-on experience with movers, and a strong intuitive awareness developed through working closely with people in both physical and creative spaces.
I don’t see the body as something to “fix,” but as a system that’s constantly adapting. My role is to help reveal patterns, create space for change, and support more efficient, resilient movement over time.

Personal Statement
“Soma has changed my life not only in a physical sense but in ways that are completely unexpected. My sense of the world and my place in it. The body–mind continuum and movement patterns are an intimate connection that sometimes we fail to see the power we have over ourselves and our development.
As a practitioner, I have found this work to be the single most effective method in dealing with chronic back pain and injuries. The results are long lasting and the process is life-changing.”
