Optimizing Lululemon’s Design System

As a Sr. UX Designer, my initial task in this project consisted of doing a full audit of lululemon’s design libraries as well as its existing North American web experience. Further research involved running workshops, interviewing stakeholders, and doing competitive research as well as diving deep into overall industry best practices around the evolving world of design systems.

After synthesizing my research findings, I created recommendations around the structure of our ideal system to improve cohesiveness, eliminate redundant work, streamline future processes, and build a sustainable system optimized for adaptation. These recommendations included breaking down the next steps into bodies of work for refactoring the system and its surrounding processes.
